Adam Bowick is a multidisciplinary artist based in Carleton Place, Ontario.
His previous forays into the arts include documentary filmmaking, sculpture, homemade synth pop and music videos, as well as designing and building Metaverse experiences. Adam's current obsession is with macro photography and the humble penny.
'Pennies In Purgatory' is a multi platform art project that will include physical prints, a website, an interactive Metaverse experience, and this summer, a gallery exhibit at the Carleton Place Gallery. It is the culmination of over 10 years of penny collecting, sorting and curating.
The goal of the exhibit is to give visitors a tactile, interactive and fun experience while exploring the beauty that can emerge when the element of copper, and humans, interact.
