We welcome applications from artists interested in selling their work through the CP Gallery. Submitting an application is the first step in being considered. Your application will be reviewed and we will be in touch if we are able to offer you a spot.
CPG will present rotating exhibitions of works by approximately 25 consignment artists/artisans at one time and are now accepting applications from established and emerging artists from a variety of expressions, within the National Capital Region. ARTIST GALLERY FEES CPG will attempt to maintain a favourable and accessible fee and commission structure but reserves the right to adjust these fees and commissions, at artist contract renewal times. CPG and the artists are both responsible for promoting and encouraging sales at the gallery to allow fees to be as low as possible. ▪ Option #1: Monthly fee of $50/month paid 3 months at a time (wall artists) _____ $35/month paid 3 months at a time (non-wall artists) ____ PLUS 40% commission on any work sold. ▪ Option #2: No monthly fees. 50% commission on any work sold.
NOTE: All new incoming artists MUST start with Option #1 and may be moved to Option #2 at the discretion of the gallery. Exceptions may be discussed. ALSO NOTE: Artists who do not provide updated or replacement pieces as needed or requested, or who do not assist in promoting the gallery and their art, will be moved to what is referred to as a 'storage program’. This means their commission rate will shift to 40%, with a monthly payment, for the three months following the conclusion of their then current term. Each artist will be contacted as their term comes up for renewal should a change be necessary. Should future participation become more active, they may request to be on the 50% commission structure—this will be determined fairly at the gallery’s discretion, and will be based on interest in the work, engagement in the gallery and sometimes sales.....because it isn’t just about sales.
