Darryl Kicul is an emerging artist from Kanata that uses wood and stone to create whimsical sculptures. He has been carving for over 20 years but upon his retirement he decided to pursue his love of carving full time. His cottonwood carvings all form the mythical village of Deltoides. He chose the theme of Deltoides because it is part of the scientific name for the cottonwood bark he uses.
