Dave McAuslan has been painting regularly for the past 7 years, primarily using transparent watercolor on 100% rag paper. Although self-taught, he has augmented his skills through short courses with various artists, reading numerous books, and accessing online resources. Painting from his home in Carleton Place, Dave draws inspiration from his personal experiences, people he knows, places he has visited, nature, and everyday objects and activities. His paintings serve as a means to share his observations, imagination, and thoughts with others.
