The Carleton Place Gallery opened its doors August 23, 2023 in the heart of downtown Carleton Place. Always adding to our activities, 2025 is no exception and will be bringing some exciting new ideas your way. Our former workshop/studio space is currently under renovation, and will be the new location for solo or group exhibitions, in addition to workshops. Offering 66 linear ft of wall space and 343 sq ft of floor space (plus a washroom, storage and laundry tub) this space is perfect for a pop-up art exhibit. Lighting, hanging systems, after hours entrance and a Vernissage countertop are already in place. 2’x7’ Grids, folding chairs and 6’ tables are also available. Attached directly to the main gallery, this space has the advantages of showcasing to the many customers that visit daily.
The gallery is now accepting proposals for its 2025 program. Artists living within 75 km of Carleton Place are invited to submit applications for the exhibition space. We encourage fine artists at all stages of their professional careers, with a variety of voices and forms of expression to apply. Exhibitions are open to solo artists and groups of two or more. Note: Group exhibitions must rent the entire space. Please choose your top three spots. We will work together to establish an ideal date should your choices not be available.
We ask each artist provide information for promotion and to organize their own vernissage. The gallery will promote your exhibit on their social media and website and request for you to do the same. All sales will be charged HST and be processed through the central gallery cash. The Gallery will charge a 30% commission on all work sold during the show or as a result of the show. Please note that on occasion, there may also be a workshop taking place in the studio during your exhibit, if the floor space is not being used.
