This collection begins in B.C. Before COVID.
A time that now feels strangely distant, as if the world quietly crossed a threshold without asking permission. What followed was uncertainty, disruption, and an unexpected truth. We learned how quickly everything can change. In 2020, the entire planet proved that global behavior can shift in a matter of weeks.
From that realization, these works unfold.
“Uncertainty 2025” sits with the unease surrounding the U.S. elections of November 2024 and the ripple effects one moment can send across the world. “Climate Past and Future” imagines a submarine resting on a San Francisco beach in 1955, then asks an unsettling question. If that was possible then, what will the shoreline look like seventy years from now? “Drinking Red Wine with My Cat During COVID and I Don’t Have a Cat” reflects the quiet absurdity of lockdown life. Solitude, imagination, and the stories we told ourselves to stay human. “Open Window on the Metaverse” offers a cautious glance into another promised reality.
Together, these works do not offer answers. They offer mirrors.
“Revelation” invites you to stand between worlds. Past and future. Fear and clarity. Reality and projection. What you see here may say as much about your inner landscape as it does about the world we now inhabit.
BIO
Maciek “Magic Peter” Kozlowski is an artist-explorer who creates at the intersection of intuition, engineering, and wonder. Born in Warsaw in 1958 and now based in Ottawa, his earliest lessons came from his grandmother, an artist who taught him to find hidden characters and quiet stories in everyday surfaces, even the cracks of an old pink bathtub.
Trained as an engineer and guided by instinct, Magic Peter works from the subconscious, deliberately stepping aside so the work can emerge through him rather than from him. This balance between precision and surrender fuels his mixed media, paintings, sculptures, and immersive exhibition experiences. Each body of work shifts style and medium, pushing boundaries while inviting joy, curiosity, and reflection on human experience, nature, and social connection.
His work has been exhibited in Ottawa, Toronto, and Brooklyn, and is collected internationally. In 2017, he was named Artist of the Year in the U.K. An avid collector himself, he creates distinct collections that invite viewers into the pleasure of discovery, the moment when a piece quietly claims you as its own.
