Maciek (Magic) Peter Kozlowski is an acclaimed artist-explorer seeking new awareness in social issues, human conditions, and Nature. Born in Warsaw, Poland in 1958 his first art experiences were guided by his grandmother who was also an artist who taught him to see insights in everyday shapes and figures, like the characters and scenes in the cracks in the old pink bathtub.
Magic Peter aims to create from the subconscious, where there are far more interesting things happening than in the limited conscious mind. His creative process in his mixed media and paintings seeks to let the emotions emerge in the painting and to let the work develop through him. To “get out of the way” as much as is possible. This is an interesting approach for a technically trained engineer. The technical training, however, is very useful in the production of complex works, mixed media exhibition experiences, sculptures, and new media adventures. Always pushing boundaries, he works in specific styles and mediums to produce vastly different curated bodies of work to bring new joy to his fans.
Maciek (Magic Peter) Kozlowski has exhibited in Ottawa where he lives, in Toronto, and recently in Brooklyn, New York. His virtual presence caught the eye of many global collectors, and he won many awards including Artist of the Year in the U.K. in 2017.
An avid art collector himself, he crafts distinct collections of original pieces and limited edition prints that invite you to experience the delight of discovering your next cherished artwork.
