I currently live on several wooded acres in Woodlawn, Ontario where I have a woodworking shop and painting studio. In 1984 I graduated from OCAD but continued with a Nursing career till 2015 to support my art habit. Luckily, I have been purchased by the City of Ottawa and have three pieces in their collection. Since graduation I have been involved in many solo, conjoint and group shows in Ottawa and Quebec. When creating my art, I begin by examining my scavenged supply of wood and metal objects that must be shaped by human hands but also touched by nature. I then contemplate how to breathe new life into this weathered material, envisioning the transformative process that will recycle them into artwork, allowing their spirit to live on.
