Tara Morris is a fibre artist based out of Ottawa, Ontario. She takes inspiration from Canada’s diverse landscape to weave scenes of land, water and sky.
By combining traditional weaving techniques with unique textured and layered components, she creates tactile pieces which feel as dynamic and alive as the landscapes they portray. Her work can be viewed at weavemebe.ca. In this 3 hour workshop Tara will guide you through the process of creating your very own wall hanging. From warping your loom, creating a fringe, weaving the body and securely hanging it – you will leave with a new skill set and a unique piece of art made with your own two hands.
