Join Anne Warburton in an exciting Gelli Printing Workshop. Learn the art of gelli printing by creating stunning gel plate prints using a variety of materials, and experimenting with various papers, colours, and compositions. Participants will learn techniques for monoprinting on a gel plate, using a variety of mark-making tools, layering, and ideas for using the prints.
By the end of the session, you will leave with:
Fee includes some materials. The instructor will provide marking materials, some acrylics and papers. Participants need to bring a gel plate (mot Speedball brand) and a brayer (2, 3, or 4"). Optional supplies to bring include acrylic paints, and/or fabric they wish to try, and a variety of papers.
Bring your lunch and a beverage.
By the end of the session, you will leave with:
- A variety of prints to capture techniques and tools used on a gel plate
- Ideas for using prints in their own artistic practice
- Substrate examples including both paper and fabric
- An understanding of the techniques using the gel plate, and how it can enhance their own art.
- A day of play and exploration
