Call for Artists

Celebrate the season at the Carleton Place Gallery with The 50s; a special holiday exhibition featuring a diverse selection of original fine art, priced at $250, $350 and $450. This curated collection showcases the creativity of local artists, and is perfect for collectors and gift-givers alike. The show offers an opportunity to acquire unique works of art just in time for the holidays. Whether you are creating, giving or collecting, celebrate the season with art that is both memorable and meaningful.
Deadline: Wednesday, October 7, 2025 (Successful applicants will be notified by Sunday, October 18, 2025)
Length of Exhibit: Saturday, November 21, 2025 to Thursday, January 7, 2026
Fee: A non-refundable fee of $45 plus HST is to be paid immediately upon acceptance, in order to hold your spot.
NOTE: Artists may submit up to five pieces with their application. A maximum of three pieces will be accepted per artist. As selection is based on each piece, if you are an artist of interest, you will be notified and final images will be required before Thursday, October 29. Realizing that not everyone has their paintings ready right now, you can submit a sample of what is to come.

We welcome submissions from fine artists at all stages of their careers and encourage a wide range of artistic voices, mediums, and forms of expression. Art will be evaluated equally based on criteria expectations and adherence to the gallery standards and guidelines.

The Carleton Place Gallery opened its doors on August 23, 2023, in the heart of downtown Carleton Place, at 210 Bridge St. In January 2025, under new ownership and direction, the studio side was renovated to incorporate a dedicated exhibition space.
Directly connected to the main gallery, this intimate space has been thoughtfully designed to support professional presentation, and offers 66 linear feet of wall display and 343 square feet of floor area for tables or grids, and provides exhibitors with the distinct advantage of visibility to the gallery’s established clientele and daily visitors.
